The YouTube person plastic wrapped a soil filled styrofoam box lid and cut holes for individual cuttings. This provides moisture control. It’s pretty much a fig pop box with no humidity dome aspect.

This is what I’m experimenting with. The blanket is to help insulate. I’m having nice results pre-rooting in a heated humidity dome.

You are crazy dude... I remember growing a lot like this at one point.

Forgot to say, you're lucky you can find small mulch like that. I've looked everywhere and we can't find it here in South Florida.

Yes I've definitely caught the bug. The crazy bug :)


They usually sell that mulch in bags for cheap at Lowes here, but also landscape suppliers typically carry it. Failing that, there's a lot of forests around me, I can go to old rotten stumps and harvest my own when I want REALLY fine stuff :)
