I need to talk to the property owner. His kid ordered delivery one day, and they live on the same road as me, 5 minutes away but in a different county. I saw the fig tree, asked to try the fruit so he went out there with me and let me have some. I asked him but he didn't know. His dad travels a lot but I'm going to go talk to him when he's in town. It's probably some common type, but I still took photos just in case!
The fruit appears similar to, but different than, Peter's Honey. Its leaf shape is radically different than Peter's Honey that I've observed, though. Definitely one that requires further investigation.
