Still Have Green Figs? Zone 9a

Some of my younger LSU Orourke & Smith trees in ground still have green/imature figs. Is this normal?

Yeah especially if you didn't elect to pinch off the figlets. After about july, any new figs that form I pinch off. It redirects the energy to other figs. You'll get more figs that way at a better time for fruit production. You don't want figs ripening in the cold or rain.
