Description
From David:
This is a seedling that was found in early 2019 near an old gold mining facility in Northern California. The fruit from this tree bears a beautiful golden interior. The undertones are that of a light melon, such as an ambrosia. This fig is juicy and the texture is such that it could easily be spread as jam directly from the fruit. When cooked and warm, the jam retains a light natural fruit sweetness, and the flavor develops in to a taste and texture similar to a “no sugar added” applesauce.
8-12-20: we went by again to pick more fruit and they cut the both the tree and the brush back almost all the way I can only speculate as a preventive measure for this coming fire season.
Not enough is known about this "variety" to take what is said by David into account. We highly advice you to further extend your own research before even considering adding it to your collection.
