Hi

Im new here and im located in south Florida. I wanted to ask if I can trim my fig trees now. How much do I take off? I have a brown turkey, white marseille, black mission, Bordeaux, olympian.

Thank you all in advance.

I don't think it's your best bet. Sorry for the late reply.

Generally you want to prune for a reason. Dormancy (winter) pruning is for shape, summer pruning is for production.

I'd wait until the tree is fully dormant, then prune it for shape. You'll lose less sap that way, too.

No more than 30% is my recommendation for how much to take off.

I don't know I've always been under the impression That white Marseille fig produces a breba crop on the previous year growth. Check that out in the figdatabase.com
