Cool leaf patterns and a few seedlings

Today I finally got the nerve to stop by a house with a big fig tree hanging over the sidewalk. Luckily there was a business in the house with its number on the gate. I called and they were nice enough to let me have some cuttings. I saw dropped fruit on the ground, very elongated and smelled very sweet. I forgot to get picture of that but the developing fig on the branch kind of looks the same (see picture). The leaf shapes are pretty cool and unique.

I also found a couple caprifigs, one which had delicious and sweet skin, and a couple unripe female figs.

Overall pretty successful day.

Man I wish I could come on one of these adventures with you, it sounds so awesome.

If you can take some cuttings of that sweet caprifig, I would pay you for them. I don't need any new cuttings until the spring, but I would LOVE to have a couple of caprifigs to play with the genetics of.
