I live in Denver Colorado. I have one Chicago Hardy fig I am trying to grow. It is in the ground (probably should have done it in a pot to extend the growing season, oh well). It dies back every winter. I mulch it and it does regrow, and the last few years it has produced figs, but they rarely have time to ripen in our environment and with how I have managed the tree.
