Fig Hunting in the wild and on the streets

These past few months have been life changing with the discovery of fig trees in so many different places. I’ve been exercising more and seeing beautiful places. My sense of adventure has returned.

This week I’ve been doing some up-potting and found a few more caprifigs during one of my hikes.

Today I found a small seedling in a lake area and a discarded tree a neighbor had in their trash can. The new cuttings will come in handy because I’m developing new rooting techniques and trying to find better methods than currently exist. So grateful.

I kind of wondered what you looked like =) Good to put a face to the name.

So many different varieties. I would love to hear more about each one.

And the rooting techniques should probably have their own thread, I want to hear more about that too!
