Fig Identification - Gifted Collection

Hey I wanted to run something by you. For various reasons, I'm extremely careful about sourcing and naming my figs. Past drama, etc. So here's the situation This guy with about 15 designer figs just gave away his collection to me. This thread here https://www.ourfigs.com/forum/figs-home/1039098-free-figs

But his labels SUCK. I can't tell what most of these are. What is the protocol for me to figure that out?


I have a list of what he grew, and some have names so I'm pulling them out of the group, but I want to make sure I don't do anything wrong that will make more people yell at me. I've asked the guy but he hasn't answered yet

Part 2 - The Jackpot - Can you help me ID some of these varieties and/or read these labels? (I know morphology isn't enough but I am obtaining a complete list)

Heh. I might be a little anal with my labeling.


I paint pen the tree. I paint pen the pot, in 2-3 locations. I put on a metal tag, and usually I have a piece of tape on it with a label, too.

Who knew such a blessing would cause so much stressing lol. If he doesn't respond, just grow them out until they fruit. Anyone's labeling could be wrong even if it looked right. If you can't easily identify by the fruit, get a consensus from the gang in a picture post.
