Oregon Prolific has often been referred to as a synonym of lattarula, white Marseilles, and Italian honey. Whether it truly is one or all of those, I’m not sure. However, prolific is in its name for a reason. It produces. A lot. Even in our early cold weather this year, my tree was ripening its main crop with no problem. It’s best to let it hang as long as possible to develop the flavor. This variety is one of those work horse types. Not great, not mind blowing, but very reliable.
