Narragansett 4343

Rating For: Narragansett 4343
Overall

Narragansett 4343 is a tasty fig that has very early breba crop figs (the longer figs in the pics, which have more of an amber pink color pulp), and then a large main crop throughout Aug and Sept with more round shape figs that have a deeper red jammy interior. Very similar to Uncle Corky's Honey Delight, and possibly the same variety.

It's a pretty nice fig, sure it does much better in dryer climates. Here in South Florida, it does well enough to collect but not good enough for me. However, it is sweet, a Mt. Etna type, small to medium size. Some what of a complex flavor. It is not nematode resistant.
