Description
From (Bluemalibu)
This two year-old tree provided its first handful of figs this morning. Growing in-ground, and in full sun, I was really taken back by the refreshing taste of this fig. It doesn't have the thick, berry jam quality of many red-centered varieties, it instead has a fresh, light, and fruity taste that dares you to attempt to try and eat just one! LOL!!!
This is from a small tree on its second leaf... an Eary-Mid season ripening. The skin is very sweet and substantial, yet not overly tough or leathery. To my taste the fruit is sort of a cross between a Nero 600M and a dead-ripe Mission... it's interesting. Not bad, from a young tree; 8.5/10.
