Description
From Rewton:
In the U.S. there are two main varieties that go under the name of "Vasilika Sika". One is the Belleclare long fingered version that is closely related to Dalmatie. I don't know if it is the same as Dalmatie though. It produces oblong green figs with red pulp.
Andreas posted that in Greece: “there are 3 kinds of vasilika sika.
1) vasilika mavra (black kind of fig)
2) vasilika aspra (white kind of fig)
3) vasilika melissi (honey like skin color)
sika is actually spelled with a y (syka) not an i but it sounds the same in greek and it is just the word for fig in greek.”
In reality, Vasilika Sika (BC) has been accepted to be either Stella or Dalmatie. Vasilika Sika (VS) however is still up for debait. Could this be Vasilika Aspra?
