Gustav Estelrich:
…distinguished from the Albacor by the size of the figs, greater precocity in the harvest, peduncle light green, quite defined, cracked very marked, thick and with a small and narrow neck. In this variety appear whole leaves, differential features with the aforementioned Albacor, although it can be considered as a sub-variety of it.
Montserrat Pons
The fig tree ‘Albacor Comuna’ is a bipe variety of the common fig type. Tree of great development, high vigor, with rounded crown, branches with a tendency to hang towards the ground. Its leaves with 3 lobes (50%) are the majority, with 5 lobes (40%) and 1 lobe (10%). Its leaves with present teeth and wide wavy margins. ‘Albacor Comuna’ has a medium-high detachment of figs, and a high productive yield in both figs and figs. The cone-shaped yellowish-green apical bud.
The fruits ‘Albacor Commune’ are of length x width of 54 x 83 mm in shape between ovoid and pear shaped in both figs and figs, which have large fruits, especially the brevas, symmetrical in shape and uniform in the dimensions, of about 64,530 grams on average, of medium consistency epidermis , thickness of thick skin, matte black background color with glossy black on. Ostiolo from 1 to 3 mm with small pink scales. Peduncle 2 to 4 mm cylindrical light green. Abundant and thick longitudinal cracks. Very marked ribs. With a ºBrix (sugar grade) of 27 very sweet and juicy in figs, with a honeyed pink flesh color. With small or absent internal cavity, and a large number of medium Achene Though, the fig, itself, is not technically a fruit, but a casing (the syconium or receptacle) that encloses dozens or hundreds of tiny fruits called "pips", drupes, or most properly, achenes. An achene is a dry, indehiscent, one-seeded fruit. Each achene contains a single seed, surrounded by a hard ovary wall.
It is used as figs and fresh figs for human food. Fresh and dry for animal feed. High production They are of average abscission of the peduncle and a good ease of peeling. Quite resistant to oyster opening and transport. Very sensitive to rain, and to the sour, and moderately susceptible to detachment.
