Cold Hardy! The Bari fig variety is a Mount Etna type fig originating from Bari, Italy and brought to the US by a member of the Armed Forces. It has ties to the Willow Grove Naval Air Base located in Pennsylvania. Shows extreme cold hardiness. Discovered in Willow Grove, Pennsylvania. Although the mother tree was reportedly never protected, it has survived many zone 7 Pennsylvania winters, showing its hardiness.

Exceptional little fig! Small, red-ish to brown-ish in color with a red pulp. Strong sugar sweetness with berry notes included. Attractive, large, 3-5 lobes, mostly 5 lobed with 2 kinkles most of the time. Did great it's first year throughout the rainy season. It actually became one of the figs I am mostly anticipating to taste again this year.
