Description
When Bass first started introducing this variety, around 2009:
Here's a fig that me and Lou P. collected from an abandoned garden. There was a Italian restaurant called Pan e Vino owned by a Sicilian man. He had two fig trees he got from sicily. After he sold the restaurant no one took care of the trees and they were never protected in the winter.
Yesterday I stopped by and collected cuttings and saw the white ripe fig hanging. It has a really nice flavor. deep red inside with a hint of strawberry. Can anyone think of a Sicilian fig that might be similar to this? for right now we're calling it Pan e vino White.
