Breba in Tacoma (8B) are large & very flavorful. Main Crop is heavy & smaller, but not very flavorful. Most Main Crop do not ripen before winter sets in & flavor is not nearly as good as Breba. Recommend that Main Crop fruit be thinned & maybe pinch branches to encourage fruit to ripen earlier..
Olympian's main crop ripens August 3, 2018. The main crop has a short neck and more rounder fruit shape. The breba crop has a long slender neck, and the fruit shape is much longer. The main crop ripens the same time as my LSU Hollier and Marlow fig (which some have said could be the same) I would say they are similar but not the same. The Marlow fig skin is smoother and less tough than Olympian. Very cold hardy for PNW. Large size fig with good flavor. No splitting with heavy rains.
Comparing with LSU Hollier, Olympian fig may look the same but the LSU Hollier is better tasting.
Olympian 5/10
