Description
Amy J Kinsey:
I love unique figs. DFIC0023 Palmata Hybrid is that fig. The skin of the fruit is delicate & soft. A floral Unique berry taste. It’s almost like a grape juice berry wine very sweet. This one is awesome when left on for a long period.
As you can see it has a deep purple color & the leaves are just as beautiful. Fuzzy soft Palmata leaves with pinkish hues thru the petioles. Another great thing about this fig is that it seems to not show signs of fmv. It seems Resilient & grows very vigorous. It would make a good rootstock. The questionable end on this fig is if it is Smyrna or not? My wasp has not been very reliable this season most my Smyrna have dropped off. This one still seems to be holding fruit. We’re they pollinated? I’m unsure but I’m eating this is one!!!
