Description
This variety was named differently than the other four, which were never released to the public, but were saved by Dr. Johnson before the greenhouse was demolished. The name comes from Louisiana horticulturist, Buddy Lee.
Brian (CajunB) says:
I do not say Buddy Lee was a LSU fig, just that it was being grown at Burden Center LSU........Buddy Lee fig was proagated by Buddy Lee who is a close friend of Dr. Johnson ,after tasting the Buddy Lee fig ,Dr.Johnson decided to add it to the collection at Burden Center.......
