This fig was amazing. I was able to go back up and found the owner of the property and I asked him a few questions. I guess this one isn't a seedling in its current location but was brought here by his father when he moved up from Sacramento. He knew nothing at all about the fig Wasp so was not able to confirm if it requires pollination or not but he said it came from his father's old property but he doesn't know where it came from before that. It may have been a seedling or it may be an heirloom.

Mine have grown quite well and I am very excited to see how this one does for me this year. It was one of my absolute favorite figs from last year. I just hope it is a Common Fig !!! Just take a look at these drool worthy pics from last year. I found this one on my way back from the West Coast Fig Fest hosted by Doug. There were quite a few seedling finds from other attendees as well that look very promising. Oroville is a land blessed with figs!!
