Description

This variety came about by accident and distributed unintentionally by Steve (Fruitnut). At the time, he thought that what he was selling was the original Izmir. Good thing is that Steve is a well respected and honest member of the fig community and as all good people do, he posted his mistake on the distribution of this new variety everyone is calling "Izmir Not".

What an amazing fig variety. It's similar to Col De Dame Blanc but different in so many ways. It is earlier and just as good. It hold up to our rains perfectly so I highly recommend it for the Southeast. It is a jammy fig with a hint of acidity. The skin is chewy which makes both the flesh and skin taste like a fruit roll-up. Very productive variety.
