Bluemalibu From Zone 9
Socorro Blk is another variety that would be a great choice if but a single fig tree was to be grown. It does it all well... good size crops, Aug 1st ripening in zone 9b, and incredible tasting fruit.

Slightly slow in vigor yet very productive. Ripens well for the most part (except in excessive rains) and the taste is very unique and delicious. The size of the figs are medium to large and so overall, I feel this variety is top notch!
